December 2007
After winning the British Tour event last week at Nottingham, Matt Smith continued his good run by winning the Tropicana Masters Event, again at Nottingham. As well as Matt,  Wrexham Academy saw four of it's players in the Semi-Finals of this event, Dave Brewer, Natasha Marks and Lisa Whybourn. Lisa played some great tennis yet again this week, beating the No.1 Seed Rebecca Llewellyn to make the final.
Lisa Whybourn was awarded with the Tropicana Player Award.  Lisa has made final of the British Tour Events at Wrexham, Hull & Nottingham (Winning Hull), beating some tough opposition.  'The Tropicana Award is a bi-monthly award giving players some kind of recognition for their good performances'.
Matt Smith won the British Tour Event this week at Nottingham, beating Harry Skinner in the final and Lisa Whybourn made final of the same event.

November 2007
Matt Bright
gained his 1st World Ranking Point in Rwanda.
Lisa Whybourn won her first British Tour Event in Hull.

October 2007
Lisa Whybourn & Sian Bayliss won the doubles event at the ITF in Tenerife this week - Sian gained her first ITF points and Lisa also made it to the Semi- Final of the singles event.
At the Tropicana British Tour, Wrexham, Natasha Marks beat Lisa Whybourn  in 3 sets in the Ladies Final.  Matt Smith unfortunately lost to Dan Evans in the Mens Event.

August 2007
Maniel Bains,
after receiving a wild card into the Futures event at Cumberland, Maniel has made it through to the quarter finals.
Jordan McCulloch narrowly missed out on a chance to make the Final of the boys U16 event at Junior Nationals. He lost to Chaudry, the eventual winner, in a very close 3 set match.
Natasha Marks fought her way through to the U18 Event at Junior Nationals, Bournemouth. Natasha was unseeded in this event and narrowly missed out on winning after losing 7-5 in the 3rd set against Naomi Broady. To top of a good week for Natasha, she also made it through to the final of the U18 Doubles event.
John McGahon reached his first Semi-Final of a Futures event in Cameroon.

July 2007
Maniel Bains gained his first World Ranking point in Senegal $10,000 Futures Event.
Lisa Whybourn won her first junior ITF event this week, winning the Grade 5 event this week in Ireland. 
Matt James made Final of the U18's ITF at Winchester.
Natasha Marks and Charlotte Martin qualified for Frinton $10,000 ladies event and won their first round matches.
Kathryn Hughes made final of the U12's and Semi-final of the U14's Scottish Junior International Tournament held in Glasgow this week.
Matt James won the ITF event in Scotland.  Lisa Whybourn made it through to girls semi- final.
Matt James won his first round match at Junior Wimbledon with a win over Brazilian Henrique Cunha. He beat Cunha, ranked No. 15 in the world, on a championship tie break.

June 2007
Maniel Bains
  won the British Tour at Hallamshire - beating Matt Bright in the Final.
Charlotte Martin gained her first World Ranking points after reaching the 3rd round of a WTA Event in Portugal.
Matt James received a wild-card into this years Junior Wimbledon Event.

May 2007
John McGahon
- selected for the Irish Davis Cup Team - Ireland were promoted.

March 2007
Matt James
won his first ITF Event in Sweden.
