to www.lta.org.uk. The climax to the AEGON Summer Junior Grand Prix took place this weekend with the Masters
Finals taking place at the National Tennis Centre, Roehampton.
The
invitation-only tournament was for those players who finished at the top of their age groups' leaderboards
after a summer of competition.
There were boys' and girls' events
at 9U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U level and the winners were interviewed after taking their respective titles.
15 year Kathryn Hughes from Wrexham Academy is the girls' 16U
champion and said: "The first set was really close, it was neck and neck almost all the way through – I didn’t
think I would be the one to take it".
